I finally went to Pharo's Burgers. The place was busy at lunch time, a lot of to-go orders. The restaurant has seating inside and outside. 1. Club sandwich combo: It comes with the sandwich, fries and a small drink of your choice. The sandwich was really good with lots of meat and the bread was toasted just right. Fries was hot, crunchy outside and nice and soft inside. 2. Fried zucchini: Actually ordered it to-go but couldn't resist so I ate 2. Yup, just as good as what other customers said... yummy. 3. Fried mushroom: Never heard of fried mushrooms at a fast food restaurant and based on the reviews, I definitely had to try it. Again, it was for to-go but I ate two. It was juicy in the inside and crispy on the outside, tasted good with the ranch sauce as well. 4. Carne asada burrito: It is a good size burrito. I took a bite and it was very flavourful with the asada, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce...don't think there was rice...at least not from the one bite I took. This is definitely a good place to grab a bite (or few bites, haha). The service was good and the cashiers who took the orders were all friendly. Uh...I was only able to finish 1/2 of the club sandwich and the soda. The rest...including the fries...all to-go.
I've been coming here for years! Customer service is always great and food is always fresh and yummy
YUUUMMMM!!! This is your typical California burger spot. No frills, nothing fancy, just good food served quickly with very friendly and helpful servers. Owner (sorry, missed his name) seems to know everyone in the neighborhood, including the entire SPPD. He always recognizes us and greets us like we're family. Everything we've tried is delicious, but our go-tos are the omelets, breakfast burrito, gyros and OMG the fried MUSHROOMS! Careful, because they're boiling hot served fresh out of the fryer. They are hand breaded (but not too heavily) on site We have become regulars and you will too!
My uncle and I decided to go to Pharo's Burger for lunch today. I had no idea my uncle frequented Pharo's Burger; the owner, Bill, knew what my uncle usually orders. I had the same thing with my Uncle's order, and he was so nice to change it to zucchini Fries for free. Because he didn't know our names, he referred to my Uncle as the Hamburger Guy, and me as Nephew. A really nice, fun, and easy-going person. The cheeseburger and zucchini fries are delicious and come in a generous serving size. I am stuffed and quite full. Great place, and I will definitely return!
There is parking in the shared strip mall or the dedicated lot on the other side of the restaurant. There is ample parking for the business. We got 2 Turkey burgers, 1 mushroom burger, fried mushrooms, fries, and taquitos. Overall the food was comparable to Jim's burgers, which we think is quite good, but not as good as Paul's Place, which we think is the best local burger shop in SoCal. Pharo's has better buns that are tossed better than Jim's, but the rest is comparable. Jim's gives you more fries than Pharo, but Pharo has better tasting fries. Paul's had better fried mushrooms than Pharo, and Jim's does not offer these. Pharos taquitos seemed like frozen store bought that they just fried up--Paul's are better. Pharos Taquitos came with a lot of guacamole, which was good quantity, but it seemed like just out of a store jar, so quality just ok. The man who served us seemed like the owner and he was very nice. Overall, we would definitely come back here and recommend you give them a try. They are closer than Paul's Place and just a different style than Jim's. A lot of people were getting Pharos fried chicken on our visit but we didn't try it. Their onion rings also looked good, but we will try them on a future visit.
Pharos is seriously solid. The fried mushrooms were crispy and delicious--definitely worth trying. The turkey burger was on point too, juicy and packed with flavor. I snagged a bite of my son's breakfast burrito (he had it for dinner), and I totally get why it's a favorite. It was super tasty and hit the spot. The food is really good, the place is clean, and the service is quick. Plus, it's owned by a super nice family, which makes it even better. Pharos is a spot I'll definitely be coming back to.
Pharo's Burgers is a great alternative if you want a burger but not willing to wait in line at In-N-Out across the street. The Chili Cheese Burger is pretty good and the seasoned fries were fresh off the fryer. Space inside is decent not too spacious. Same with the parking. Overall, Pharo's is your typical small business burger joint and it is good to support small businesses.
An oldie, but a goodie. I came here with two friends and it was fun to get that vintage feel, lol. I love places with a nice big menu. I got an avocado burger with fries. My friends got the gyro and a BLT sandwich, respectively. The owner was really nice and made conversation with us. Tip: Pay with cash!
When I was 7 years old, I had my first burger here. Decided to come back during the pandemic and burgers were still as good as I remember. Finally moved back to SGV recently to try it again and it still slaps!! Can't wait to try more items since I never had a chance growing up.
New favorite burger spot!! I can totally see how this place holds up just a block away from innout. It is slightly more expensive but not a lot wait and yummy. I got the 1/4 cheeseburger and felt like the bun was too big for the patty but really tasty. My bf got the pastrami burger and while he liked it, he wouldn't get it again because he felt like the pastrami was too chewy so the burger fell apart. Fries were on point. I heard they also have a really good breakfast burrito so I am excited to go back and try that too!
